Xao Ban Group
Nongnut Foppes-Ayamuang is a Thai environmental specialist who has been living and working in Laos for over twenty years. She founded the Xao Ban Group since 2006, a small enterprise producing processed foods such as yoghurt, ice-cream, local fruits jam, juices and dip sauces.
Xao Ban is a “social enterprise” providing employment to disadvantaged groups such as women and disabled people. Xao Ban is an “inclusive business” buying products from local suppliers, contributing to local income generation and employment. Xao Ban also provide practical training services in on food processing, preservation and storage applying basic standards for food safety.
