Duncan Macqueen is the Leader of the Forests and Prosperity Team at the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) working for 20 years on issues of locally controlled forest enterprise, forest governance and forest climate action. He is on the co-management team of the Forest and Farm Facility (FFF) and the Programme Advisory Group of the charity TREEAID. Previously, he was the Deputy Manager of then DFID's Forestry Research Programme, following positions in the Brazilian Amazon for Embrapa, and in Central America as an agroforestry tree improvement specialist. Born in Scotland, he spent his childhood in Sumatra, Indonesia.
