Mr. Khou Eang Hourt holds a bachelor degree in forestry science at the Royal University of Agriculture in 1998, and master degree in plant taxonomy at the National University of Leiden, the Netherland. He is now the Department Director of Environment, Forestry and Water of the National Authority for Preah Vihear (NAPV).
His work experiences are in the fields of botanical and ecological survey, biodiversity conservation, forest ecosystem restoration, agroforestry and Non Timber Forest Products (NTFPs). He wrote first rattan book of Cambodia, bamboo inventory technique, liquid resin tapping protocol, and a number of technical reports relating to bamboos, agroforestry and forest ecology.
